Bromeliad plants are prized for their brightly colored sword shaped leaves which form a central "cup" which the plant uses to catch rainwater in their natural habitat. They are a slow growing plant and do well in shallow pots and can grow in low soil mediums such as orchid mix. They are surprisingly easy to care for despite their ornate appearance.
Medium to bright indirect light.
When watering this plant, pour water over the top of the plant to fill the "cup" created by the scoop shaped leaves. Water once a week and allow for easy drainage.
